The capital Beirut is where the majority of Lebanon’s medical infrastructure is found. Most of the 11,500 doctors working at 177 hospitals and clinics across the country are Board Certified and trained internationally. ISO certified hospitals like Bellevue Medical Center and Sahel General Hospital are among the leaders in servicing foreign patients. With costs significantly lower than in most developed countries and plenty of highly-skilled surgeons and physicians, health care in Lebanon is an attractive prospect. A common procedure like rhinoplasty can run up to US$6000 in the United States, but in Lebanon it’s only around US$1000.
