Cortecito, is a seaside village located between Punta Cana and Bavaro (north of Punta Cana) on occasion some of the guest to the all inclusive resorts visit this village. This area is one of the few stretches of sand that is not owned by the all inclusive giants, Cortecito has an authentic Dominican feel and as the only village left along the resort-dominated stretch, Cortecito has a flavor all it's own. Usually you will find free spirited Europeans as well as other world travelers hanging out here.Vendors have setup shop along the public beach to cater to independent foreign travelers. So if you feel adventurous, for a couple of hours, leave your Punta Cana all inclusive Resort and join the crowd at the quaint village of Cortecito.
